London - The Shard

The Shard is considered a “vertical city” with multiple and different occupiers, including hotel, education, medical, tourist attraction, residential, retail, restaurant, and offices. The Shard stands 1017 feet and is one of the tallest buildings in Western Europe.

Greenwich England - The Royal Observatory

Greenwich is a borough in London, on the banks of the River Thames. Known for its maritime history, it's home to the Cutty Sark, a restored 19th-century ship, the National Maritime Museum, and the classical buildings of the Old Royal Naval College. Overlooking Greenwich Park, the Royal Observatory is the site of the Greenwich meridian line.

London Eye

The London Eye, opened in 2000, is a giant Ferris Wheel on the South Bank of the River Thames in London. The structure is 443 feet tall and the wheel has a diameter of 394 feet. Supported by an A-frame on one side only, the Eye is described as the world's tallest cantilevered observation wheel. It takes 30 minutes for one revolution.

Desert dune driving and BBQ

The Desert is about a 30 minute drive from Downtown Dubai. I went on a desert dune driving safari in a 4x4 Land Cruiser and visited a Bedouin camp and watched a Tanoura dance performance. The tour included an Arabic BBQ dinner under the stars.
The dune driving was exhilarating and somewhat scary, but I survived.
