The Frame and Helicopter over The Palm

The Dubai Frame is the newest monument in Dubai and just opened this month. The frame measures 492 feet high and 305 feet wide. The two towers are connected by a bridge, which has a glass panel in the middle, offering a 360 degree view of modern Dubai on one side and the old city on the other.

The Palm Jumeirah is a man-made island in the shape of a palm tree. It is one of the largest artificial islands in the world and a triumph of human ingenuity. A monorail runs down the 'trunk' that connects to the mainland's tram system.

I took a helicopter tour flying over The Palm, The World Islands, Burj Al Arab, Burj Khalifa, Corniche Beach, Dubai Creek, Heritage Village, The Trade Souks, and Wind Towers and Mosques. It was very hazy and dusty so the pictures are not that clear.

Dubai Fountain

The Dubai Fountain, located at the base of the Burj Khalifa and just outside the Dubai Mall, features the world's largest choreographed fountain system. This popular dancing water show jets water streams as high as 492 feet in the air. Each colorful, illuminated jet sways in time to various musical numbers from around the world, producing what has become the one of the most popular shows in Dubai.

Dubai - Burj Kalifa

The Burj Khalifa, Arabic for “Khalifa Tower", is a megatall skyscraper with a total height of 2,722 feet. The Burj Khalifa has been the tallest structure in the world since 2008. These are pictures from the 124th and 125th floors. The first picture is looking up to the top from the ground.
